Mia Gant Will Write the Stories Now, or, Mia's Immaculate Heart

Meet Mia Gant. The HIP Team is so excited to welcome her to our nonprofit family. She is a filmmaker, a songwriter, and a musician, so we can really use her help with Voices of Foster Care. As a performer, she rocked out at Hampton Soul Fest, and even formed her own band called Immaculate Heart! It was all so great.

About Hampton Soul Fest:

Hampton Soul Fest is part of D'Wayne Wiggins (Tony! Toni! Tone'!) Youth Aid program, teaching professional-level live stage production, music, and multimedia technology. Hampton Soul Fest offered 8 weeks of education and production preparedness, including original music score development, band formations, vocal coaching, filming, and video editing. As Artist-in-resident at Wiggin's ranch, Electric Church, located in unincorporated Hampton, our young adult management and efficacy program ensured that communication, teamwork, commitment, accountability, business, and music skills development were impactful rewards of participation for the 20 participants who were all under 30. Our participants are college graduates, students, and emerging artists with interests and talents in film, music, visual art, and media, who also enjoy a personal connection with the great outdoors through the 8-week course with measurable results.
