When we think of toxic relationships, we usually think of those that are physically abusive. But there are other kinds of toxic relationships that can be just as harmful, if not more so. These are the kind of relationships where one person is in complete control of the other, where there is an obsession with power and control.
These relationships are often marked by jealousy, manipulation and a need for constant validation. The toxic partner will try to isolate their partner from friends and family, and they will constantly put them down. They will try to control every aspect of their lives, making them feel like they can never do anything right.
If you find yourself in a relationship like this, it's important to get out as soon as possible. These relationships can be incredibly damaging to your mental and emotional health.
